New Song Lyrics (Hometown)

So for those of you who read my blogs, chances are you listen to my band. Most of my blogs are our bands lyrics. I write almost all of them... recently Ive been asking the guys to do some writing so that our songs can take on a different tone. Yesterday we hit pay dirt, I started writing a song on the guitar of all things and it came to life within a few hours of jamming with the guys. I wrote most of the song with the exception of the second verse, what the song is about is different from what it was inspired from. Either way the song features, Cody's signature pedal board effects including a whammy pedal, and an ebo; a full harmonic and melodic bass line from Jason, Jaime's drumming... must I say anything else? Lastly it features a mid song instrument switch by me! I go from playing the acoustic guitar, to acoustic guitar and piano at the same time, to piano. If your a fan of A Formal Affair this new song is a must hear... come to our next show and ask for it. Ill have a for sure title later today. Here ya go...

Hometown

I'll open the door, If you promise to say out loud...
"I need you like you need me now."
I'll open the door, if you say....
"I'm fixing all of my mistakes."
But we know it's just the start love
We know it's just the start.

Who's got a hold on you?
Who's got a hold on who?
I just can't go...
cause maybe you feel like home.

Oh we've been here before, why can't you see?
Were right where were supposed to be.
And getting older now, never looked so good...
I'm going back to where I once stood.
we know it's just the start love
we know it's just the start.

Who's got a hold on you?
Who's got a hold on who?
I just can't go...
cause baby you feel like home.

Who's got a hold on who?
(I've got a hold on you)
Who's got a hold on who?
(I've got a hold on you)

repeat chorus.

There ya go, you can comment on here on our myspace, or my facebook what y'all think.
